The only thread I can think of recently was the one about the guy wanting to find a FL for end dump work. Is that the one?

I’ll say this, Freightliner may not be my 1st choice as a go to truck. But I’ve put a lot of miles on some shakers over the years with no major problems.

Hell my daughter was made in a 1981 Cabover Shaker, and when she was born I was driving a KT powered Shaker hood from the 70’s....

That has been my experience as well . Very rarely do i ever see a rate con with fuel surcharge itemized . But when my company dispatchs me they always pull out fuel surcharge from the overall rate . Which helps save a couple bucks since they only take their portion from the linehaul

Most LP's strike me as not much more than a convenient way for the company to pawn of the operating expenses of the truck on to the driver while they still make all the money.

The reason i did it was strictly to learn the business, as the bigger picture for me is to run my own show like some of you folks are doing. Id say the experience ive gained in this program has been priceless. And been able to make good freight contacts within the company as well as outside the company with different brokers. I wouldnt hesitate to lease on a truck with this company when i finish with this program , which will be my next step.
