So Im guessing that the truck was making a left and the stupid bus driver wasn’t paying attention and passed the end of the load thus putting himself in the predicament not the truck driver.

With that much rear overhang one would think there should have been a pilot at the rear to watch for this stuff.

There probably was but knowing driver’s in Portland he/she was probably trying to block 4 wheelers when the bus snuck by. Unless he truly miss judged where the bus was parked.
Bud A., autopaint, Lookunderthetruck and 2 others Thank this. -
Is the guy out of route? Flagged load? He's not an experienced OS driver. There is no way you can judge clearance with this length of over hang. Chances are this guy has screwed up. Ask me how I know.
Bud A., Lookunderthetruck, lovesthedrive and 3 others Thank this. -
That picture doesn't seem to tell the story. That is way too much overhang. It is the length of several lanes of road. It would seem that the load was pulled from the bed of the trailer, perhaps by snagging the bus. But, if that is the case, why would the driver continue pulling it off the trailer?
Lookunderthetruck, lovesthedrive and okiedokie Thank this. -
After some research the accident occurred on Burnside & 8th. Downtown PDX. Why would you drive into that ####show without extra eyes. I'd be surprised if his overhang is even legal
