I recently purchased a 97 9400 with a N14 Cummings from a younger guy. He had tried to get it running ( few crappy batteries and a delco alternator ) When I got it home ( wouldn't run on its own , only gas rag ) I replaced the batteries and the fuses next to the ECM. That got her going but now she's having issues with the charging system. When I replace the batteries , I also had to wire them correctly ( kid doesn't quite know what he's doing ) Now I'm thinking he also wired the alternator incorrectly as well. This is my first N14/Cummins and I do not want to play the guessing game. Could someone please either take a picture or explain who/what/where's for the correct way to place the wires on a Delco 24si ? Also noticed from others that I should have some kind of fusible link coming off it as well. Any insight on N14's would be appreciated!

This is on my ISX, but it's a 24SI.
Heavyd Thanks this. -
I'm not sure but I do believe it has to be the N14. I'll take a closer look with your picture. Thank you!

There's some good mechanics on this forum, but @Heavyd pretty much has these Internationals memorized.

I am away from my same year N-14 until tomorrow.
I’ll snap a pic tomorrow and post it
