386 to 388 conversion?

    Buddy of mine is curious about converting his 386 Pete to a 388. Is it possible? What all would need swapped?

    He would need a lot. For starters the 388 is a set forward axle truck compared to the 386’s set back axle. The cab is a little different because the air cleaners are routed through the cab instead of under the hood. Radiator is different too. If he wants the look of the square hood look at the 367H hoods. It’s basically a 388 with a setback front axle. It would still require a lot of work so it would actually be easier to sell the 386 and buy a 388 instead.
