I've met several solo L/O's that are happy with Central. One of my classmates went with the lease and he seems happy. He's not getting rich but he's keeping his head above water. I, on the other had have decided to stay a company driver for the time being. Being new to the industry I want to get at least a year under my belt before I make that much of a commitment. Who knows, my wife may decide she wants me home more then the income.

It's seems there are almost as many "happy" L/O's as here are "unhappy" ones. As they say... "your mileage may vary"

Well at least I got my fall safety class and yearly ethics calss out of the way while sitting here. You'll be happy to know that my low morals have been elevated to just loose morals with the ethics class. lol
Finally got my load info and an mty tlr and am heading to Oklahoma and North Platte, NE. Both drops are wally worlds. Wonder what and where they'll have me load up to go for my hometime in OKC?

As a company driver running for 4 weeks straight and with 4 days off say I log off (44) at 1400 on a Friday. When should I be available for work on mac 6?
    Thanks

Thanks, gang. My current situation is looking pretty good... Definately not interested in busting my can just to make central's payments to Paccar... Gotta do alot better than break-even. How 'bout you happy L/Os?

Just an update...JW and I took our air brakes test today...unfortunately only JW passed. I'll be retesting tomorrow. JW, Pismo, and myself met Bootlegger today at the Fontana yard. Gotta love the connections this forum helps make.
    Stay safe out there!

No, 4 days off is the max for company drivers. 1 day for each week otr.

I wondered if 4 days was not counting the day one drives home and reports back to work.
