went to virgin rivers buffet and since long line wasn't moving, I decided to go to the river cafe for turkey dinner.

    Collins, MO at a Pilot.

I'm getting down to Arkansas tomorrow. I haven't been in that state for quite some time.
Out of my region, but it is only the first stop. Back up into MO for the final.
And then I am on safety hold because my truck is due for a b service.

I was in Kansas City today. I tried to get out of this load so I could go to Edwardsville for the service, but they were booked up through 12/8.

I have a home time scheduled for 12/4 in Burnsville, MN, and I'm wondering if I will get stuck diverting to someplace for the service before I can get home.
Hopefully I can get home and then get a load to Menasha for the service. I would rather there than Gary.

Big day for me today. It's my 10 year anniversary.
And I'm only ~5,000 away from 1 million miles.

I have a nice light P&G load going to the Target Toledo, KS.
I'm expecting a Home Depot load from there to get me home.

It seems most of the terminals are booked until mid-December for a b service. I am being kept off safety hold until I get back from home time and can get in to have it done.

Didn't get a Home Depot load after all.
My DM saw a load that was t-called in Edwardsville going to Shakopee, MN , and it delivers the day I get back from home time.

I like that. I can head straight for Inver Grove to drop it for home time instead of taking the time to deliver and then take the mt to IGH. Saves me a bunch of time on this end of things.

so when I got to misquite last nite I rebooted it. didn't work
planned on getting up at 5am to shower and get here.
but woke around 3am and thought it be better to get to shop here early.
so I went in for a shower and flying j had only 2 working. he said it be about 40 minutes b4 he can clean one.
so headed for Barstow ca to fuel, weigh, and shower.
pin waaway driver leader told.me it was fleet wide so was a waste to get up early.
    oh well.
load I had preplan to pick up hete to go to beaver would be hete around 1230.
had to go 200 miles and had enough hrs to get to Las Vegas when it got here.
    wrong!!!.
guy who went to get it for me said load wasn't going to be ready till 1700 today.
so dl said I was gonna have to get it.

The only QC issue I had today was it sometimes had no bars and so didn't know my location.
It never lasted long and I simply edited the location info.

Just before I was going home my DM sent a message about the QC issues. Glad I seem to avoided it.

I wonder if it has anything to do with using the GPS on the QC.
I seldom do because to me it is pretty useless. I like my RM much better.

They keep loading up new things in these QC units, which takes RAM memory.
Those things are pretty basic, not to mention outdated computers. And the GPS is likely a RAM hog.
I would love to see the actual specs for these things.

Another thing I have noticed over the years, especially with my last truck.
That truck always had QC problems, even after it had been swapped out. Many of the same problems with the replacement unit that the first one had.
This truck has had virtually zero QC problems over the ~40k miles I have had it.

There was mention of rebooting the QC to fix the problem, but no detail on how it was rebooted.
The only sure way of a fresh boot is to shut off the battery for at least 5 minutes to drain the QC of power.
(or you could pull the power connector to the black box for that time, but the battery cut-off switch is easier)
Then it will start up fresh.
Doing the soft-boot method only re-initializes the interface, which might get the pointer back working. But it won't get a clean reboot of the entire system.
