Trying to quit smoking or at least cut back. Tried some NJoy electronic cigarettes that I bought at a Pilot. I didn't care for them very much, but would like to try again and found out that they cannot be returned, even to the manufacturer, so I wanna get some feedback on other brands before I buy anymore. Is there a brand of E-cigs that anyone would particularly recommend? I know pretty much every chain of truck stops that sells them carries a different brand. Thought about trying the Fifty-One brand from Love's. They claim that one package of replacement cartridges is equivalent to a carton of regular cigs. Any suggestions before I buy? Thanks.

I'm not trying to sound mean but your problem is that you are "trying". You need to make up your mind and quit, not "try" to quit. I "tried" to quit a few times during my life. Then one day after smoking for 35 years I decided to quit . I didn't use anything to help me quit, I just finished the last pack from the carton that I had and stopped. It did take a week to finish the last pack but that helped with quitting. It was hard the first few days but after a couple of weeks you get used to it. I quit over a year ago and rarely think about it anymore.

Good luck, and don't get discouraged and give up.

When my wife quit she used the patch. This has been 16 years ago. You might talk to your doctor and see what they say.

Better quit while you are still 17. Will be a lot harder later in life.

I am lucky nicotine was just never a drug which had an addicting affect(effect?) on me. However, I want a cold beer the second I get home and pretty much would save time if I could just get an alcohol iv drip going lol.

When I quit, I bought a motorcycle. Every time I just couldn't stand not having a smoke, I jumped on the bike and took off. Can't smoke in the wind. It worked for me. Course the first thing I did was decide I was going to quit come hell or high water.

I didn't smoke at all for 2 and a half years but then I started again for various reasons. Now I have to quit again. Eventually. :biggrin_25520:

I just bought an E cigarette starter pack and am very pleased. It looks and tastes like a regular smoke (even better I'd say.) It even crackles like a real cig when you inhale on it. Well worth the $65. Now I'm afraid I'll have a E-cigarette addiction. Oh well, better that.

Just stop all the smoking habits...real or fake. Be addicted to living healthy and not doing things that will ruin your health. The negative side effects are only reduced by switching to a "ecig". You lose the tar in your lungs, but you still have the negative effects from the nicotine, and you are still addicted to the drug.
