Where is everyone #5

I was surprised the dash was mostly still intact. He’s got a couple old trucks with potential for someone looking for a project.

 

At 1.1 with no hard evidence of any kind of rebuild, if you can buy it cheap enough that you could stomach doing an inframe in 30-60 days worst case scenario, or it might go another 300k without issue.

The ISX in my old company truck was inframed a year ago for $8500. Complete head, rings, bearings, radiator, some other misc stuff. That was a pretty smokin deal. But that engine only had 350k on every other part.

At 1.1 and no paperwork who knows about the injectors, turbo, egr, etc.

 

Im going to try to go look at it tomorrow. He's telling me it looks to have a new head so hopefully it's had something done at the same time but like I said no other history.

They are asking 21 for it. I know I can get him off it though.

 

No paperwork? Better have good rubber to make it worth 12k. 21k is absurd.

 

Yeah someone might have said “ahhh close enough “ it also says that’s a cat motor in the description. Did you check out the couple of Mack’s he’s got?

 

Good luck finding anything in halfway decent shape for 12k. Garbage goes for 20k plus all day. Hell an 02 classic with an isx sold at auction for 25,5 last week with the same miles with no history either. Trucks aren't cheap as they were 5 years ago.

 

Just because it sold, don't mean its worth it.

What I'm saying, you need to have a value or price point that works for you. Not what someone is asking.


At 20k its still junk.

Yes I embarrass my wife at car lots.

 

If that had a shorter bunk and 4 gallons of paint a guy would have something.

If its in halfway decent shape, you could make money with it.

Sure trust a cheap used BC over a ISX.
