The coolant exploded when I opened the cap and coolant got all over. Now my truck keeps bellowing out white clouds of smoke from the exhaust pipes. Is that the coolant burning off?

You may have a head gasket issue.

Absolutely a head gasket leak and a bad one. Not good at all, but you can't push it any further.

Holy geebus zero information and its a bad headgasket?
First off, why did you remove the rad cap? It absolutely will explode everywhere if you open it hot. Pressurizing a liquid increases its boiling point. When you open the cap, you release the pressure and the coolant can boil instantly.
Second, if coolant spilled everywhere it absolutely will burn if its on hot engine surfaces. Coming OFF of the exhaust or OUT of the exhaust?Last edited: Nov 30, 2020
