That truck is just something I’m building not on the road often except for an occasional stroll now and then
I left at 6am this morning from the Petro in Laramie WY towards Salt Lake (quite a ride with all the dam wind) and all in all 4 times is all I used the range selector, but then again I take my time and space out my turns and stops to somewhat avoid going back and forth from high to low.
Dash mounted range selector?

Laramie to slc,,,,, lets see once out of truck stop, once at scale, once into somewhere truck stop. If I didn't got into slc, might do just three if I didn't need to stop for a wiz.
390 miles interstate run.
But hell, if this is a tread just about fixing up a truck for a stroll,,,, well I'll move on to another tread. -
Mount a Bendix TW-1 control valve hidden on the right side of the seat. Reach down to flip. Would be a good anti-theft device as well. Won’t get to far fast if the thief can’t get into the high side.

If we're getting into a contest about how often we use the hi/lo range selector, I drive dump trucks and a lowboy around town...
