Peterbilt 389. X15.
My traction control light has been stuck on the past couple weeks. Scrolling through the fault code list it shows pressure sensor also. Are those correlated or am I looking at two separate issues?
Surprised that my cruise control still works with the traction control light on....
Thank you.
Dumb question maybe

Get bendix ACom hooked up. Possible ABS faults due to pressure transducers/ correlation. Be on the look out for any major air leaks, tractor trailer or other wise.

Piece of black duct tape. I drove a KW with "traction control", was a PITA. My "traction control" was my right foot. Whatever happened to that?

Àh, the good ol days! Semi retired, do you remember when there was a switch to disable the front brakes? Now here's one for the advanced aged drivers...did you ever drive a truck that had a small steel flag drop out of the headliner, when the air pressure dropped?
Rideandrepair and 201 Thank this. -
My favorite was a 10 wheeler with no turn signals. On the upper rear outside of the cab there was a wig-wag arm that was attached by cable to a lever in the truck. It was how you signalled for a turn.Rideandrepair, Dino soar, A5¢ and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm hardly 3 decades old and know about all that stuff. My truck doesn't even have front brakes and it has 3 buttons for the park brakes!

Trucks have come a long way over the decades. It's the regulations and emissions that have made them more difficult and expensive. Today's drivers cannot get away with the crap that we used to.
Rubber duck kw, Rideandrepair and spsauerland Thank this. -

I had peterbilt do it, because I didn't know the problem obviously, but that sensor is located inside the kick panel. Just needs to be unplugged and plug the new one in... Sensor cost $235 for the part.Rideandrepair and Wespipes Thank this.
