Looking for some info on securement and tarping on skidded coils. Have been seeing some close to home loads on these, and have never hauled any. Thought I'd get a little overview before I went too far into it. I would imagine these are mini coils.

Skidded coils can be done a few different ways
It all depends on how they are set.
With out better information it’s difficult to provide some ideas.
@PoleCrusher has a good photo of one method posted above. This is the basic idea for most situations.Bean Jr., God prefers Diesels, cke and 2 others Thank this. -
I dont strap then. But others do. Rubber under the front stack, X chains with edge protectors. Single chain on anyone behind the X as long as it covers weight. If you space them out, another X chain. You should X chain back stack, this I do and dont do just depends. If you have a tall stack it gets X. If the require they get 3. I tarp the lazy way.

These are 6 4ft x 4ft coils. I cross chain the front coil, then strap the other 5. I thought I had a pic of just the coils but I couldn't find it on my phone.

Thank you for all of the replies. That's what my idea on securement was, but just wanted to double check.
Any issues with the straps or chains sliding off the coils on top? I know these are larger diameter, but if you try to strap across the top of an upright barrel, the straps always want to slide off.cke and jamespmack Thank this. -
Don't haul them cheap, as in drive the rate down using the "backhaul" term.
Its not black iron, it finished, or semi finished product. Charge a proper rate.BackwoodsGA, singlescrewshaker, PoleCrusher and 4 others Thank this. -
