I changed my 2006 Kenworth throttle positioning sensor once they don't need to be calibrated, they are just mounted in that way.

Nice work!

The bump out looks pretty close to the top of the pedal. Will pedal covers fit?
I think the best looking/feeling pedals were those on the GMC Generals (and buses for that matter). -
My T660 pedal hurts my front ankle. I need to do this.
Vampire Thanks this. -
So it just plug and play?
-
Did any of you guys manage to do this? What engine was in your trucks and what wires needed to be repinned?
Vampire Thanks this. -
Go to the first page of this thread. @TMS Farms completed this install and provided photos and part number.
Good luck with your install. If you’re too worried, you can try a local shop you trust to do the swap.Lysdexis Thanks this. -
Yeah I saw the part number and all that, he mentioned re pinning the oem connector but didn't give any details. Also the part number doesn't bring anything up in a Google search when I tried to locate one.
After further digging it looks like the position sensor of the oem pedal assy is the same as the williams control sensor so I'll likely just find one similar to that number or a used oem pedal assy and put my sensor on it. Extending wires if necessary.Vampire Thanks this. -
Post pictures when you’re done. I can’t stand the hanging pedal either.Lysdexis Thanks this.

I will for sure. I suffered through it on a t800 day cab I used to run for a guy. I'm picking up my own t800 sleeper truck tomorrow and will be changing it out as soon as possible. Why they had to change it from the floor mounted is beyond me.Vampire Thanks this.
