Huxley wrote Brave New World before Orwell wrote 1984.
They have often been compared. They both are derived from the novel WE, written in 1922 by Russian author Yevgeny Zamyatin. Huxley and Orwell both claim to have no knowledge of WE, prior to writing their novels.

Trivia; George Orwell is the pen name for Eric Arthur Blair.

I’ve been meaning to read the one by Yevgeny after I read 1984; I like books such as these, more people should read them because it would open up a few eyes after you relate said book to present day society

I didn’t have time to respond the other day, but in response to @jamespmack ‘s comment on choosing to not care if you offend people because it’s an easier and better way to live; I agree that it’s easier, yes, but I disagree wholeheartedly that it is somehow a better way to live and since I believe for oneself to change who they are merely because it’s not the easier path is the act of cowardice, needless to say I am screwed

 

Of course I’m referring to going out of your way to purposefully offend someone, not this new generation whiny bs lol

 

Aside from a few minor details like chicken lights, tow pin, hood hinges and wipers I think I'm getting close to my first attempt at shading.
