When I go to sleep for the night, I don’t park next to other trucks.

Pull the cab off, and they're all the same underneath. You should change your poll choices to Bendix, Wabco and Kysor.

    Volvo !!
It’s always the white Volvo from Chicago with the smashed up hood.

It’s more about the drivers who refuse to repair the air leaks on their truck than it is about air dryer manufacturers.
It really takes a special kind of driver to drive around in a truck that has a big enough air leak that the air dryer needs to cycle every 10 minutes.

What about the crappy old Columbias and Centurys??? They are even more common for doing that IMHO.

racemaxx24, 650cat425, Hulld and 4 others Thank this.

Mine was popping every 45 seconds! I figured no way was it an air leak at the fan, because I replaced the fitting and cut new line. So I checked the signal line from the governor, and sure enough, the governor was bad. Replaced it, still popping off. Since I was still convinced it couldn't be the fan, I figured my unloader valves were stuck. Welp, no rebuild kit for my compressor apparently, and no head either. New compressor is a thousand bucks...

So I decided to crimp my fan air line just to see what would happen. Problem solved. I ordered a rebuild kit for the fan clutch, and it turned out to be a busted O-ring. Man, you would not believe what a difference it makes having a fan that works correctly, lol. And now my dryer hardly ever pops.

I've noticed that most with Freightliners actually. Oftentimes I'm dead to the world at night, or the reefer unit drowns out other sounds. My buddy had a freightliner cascadia he leased with CRST, and when he would call me, i could hear the compressor through his phone. It was so abnormally loud.

They were excluded because the other two outnumber them 50 to 1.

Vic Firth, Hulld and bzinger Thank this.
