How do you persuade a cat that the trucks not going to eat them, a grown cat slowly and carefully LOL. All attempts at humor aside , try letting the cat get used to being in the truck with it not running . Probably would take a lot of patience on both parties part. A kitten or yearling cat might adjust better.

This kitty would screen till she hurt herself in a car.
We took her Portland, to San Antonio, to NC, to IN, then L.A. and back up to WA. Was mellow most of the time. She used a crate at home like a den so we kept her in that for the first couple of hours then let her explore a bit. Kept the harness on her so we could keep her away fr om my feet while driving.

My one chihuahua trembled for a few weeks. Eventually though she got used to the Truck. Now If I mention the Truck, she’s up and ready to go! They get used to anything new, eventually.
