1997 Peterbilt 379. thumbnail.jpg Paint code in the glove box looks to be L0210U.

I can't seem to find any info online about this code like a cross reference. Any help or direction would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Imron paint code. Been awhile but i think the L is the old two stage designation.

I was on paintref and couldn't find anything. I searched "Peterbilt", "Paccar", the paint code, all comes up no results.

What are you trying to do? It's just an DuPont Imron paint code. Sure it's been replaced with a new number but any decent paint shop can mix it up. Unless you're trying to find something "cheap" to replace it.

I'm having a headache rack enclosure painted to match the truck soon and was trying to do some homework on the paint code before I contacted the painter. I'm sure he will cross it to a quality base/clear that he uses.

Was just curious why I can't dig anything up.

I went through this in 2007 when I had my current enclosure painted and somehow I remember that code was Medium Metallic Red. Can't find my notes and nothing comes up online.

How can I find the replacement code?

Decent paint shop can cross reference it to a new number. It's a Pete/KW color mixed for them. They may have changed the color slightly 20 years ago. Cross reference guides are not cheap, that's why you will have a hard time finding it for free, unless someone takes the time to look it up. Name of the color means nothing, only the letter/number does.

Ok Thanks. This guy does mostly restorations, not sure if he is familiar with our trucks. I've seen one of those mixing banks and scanner in his shop so I guess I'll leave it to him.
    Thanks again for the help.

Doesn’t matter how closely a paint is mixed to the old paint code. It never matches.

You won’t notice it so much on a rack to cab distance.

If it’s a panel repair any good painter will do a blend and fade back into the non repaired panels.

    Luwi67 Thanks this.
