I hate to admit it but if that was me , id have jesus blushing for the things that would be coming out of my mouth if they started talking about they are gonna charge me money , talking about " we load trucks like this all the time" "100 other drivers took this load every week" oh man id never be allowed back on property . But im dumb as hell sometimes . Sure would be worth it tho.

Of course I’m too stupid to load a trailer properly with something like that, but I know a pile of #### when I see it!

This is why I am way too old to even consider messing with flatbed. I'd get this shipper 99/100 times.

"This is the way we always do it." Those are some famous last words. I go rounds on occasion with guys doing hazmat that try and run that line.

F 'em. Their loss not yours.

This is what used to be called black iron. It is used for fire suppression systems. This looks like some roll formed stuff. Looking at how some of the bundles are sitting, they are very loose, or lacking proper banding. This load is not good. The material will walk. My guess is the pallets are the gaskets and fittings.

I have done a few loads problem free for this broker. My company does lots of loads for them... Any time problems arise with a load I'm on, the problem isn't me, its either the shipper or receiver...

This free 2 hours nonsense at shippers and recievers is just complete BS as is the entire "detention" pay scheme. Its all a complete joke, Throughout the entire industry.

I tarp a lot of loads.

I'm not gonna be putting a bunch of padding on this load, tripping over those small bundles and that big hole in the middle, practically where the two tarps meet because a loader isn't doing his job correctly. Not all loads can be nice and squared up but this one can I haul similar loads frequently. They got no safety harness or ladders for me to use here. They want this stuff tarped, they need to do a better job loading so it can be done safely. One fall off a high load like this could be a career ending, for sure....

These are some of the scariest words to a flatbed driver.
A few others, “ I’ve loaded hundreds of trucks” another favorite is “Been doing this for years”

Thanks man, been a bad week for sure.

I figured with all the sitting I've done the past two days, I would go ahead and book a 8 foot tarp job, since I'm all rested... Bad idea... lol

These two pictures sum up the entire load. Sloppy and don’t give a ####. At a minimum they would have fixed those two things for me. There’s no reason they could have lined every thing up nice and square. 2D253823-C0C3-49D7-9BB7-849E11FB38DA.jpeg DF906225-CD01-4356-A92E-CF87E9E7BD3D.jpeg
I’m not sure if I would have pushed it as far as unloading the trailer, but maybe, just depends on their attitude and how bad I wanted to go where that load was taking me.
