Anyone know any flatbed/tanker companies hiring?

I've never hauled flatbed but would like to start. It seems most companies want 23+ in age. I've heard some tanker companies actually take new drivers, (which I'm fairly new) because they don't have bad habits...any truth on this? I live north of Detroit MI, also have family 15 miles south of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

    Thanks to all

I think you'll have about as much luck getting an OTR job as if you lived in Florida. age is also a factor. you won't be hired to do anything involving hazmat loads in a tanker without experience. someone told me the same thing when I started out "you can haul fuel - they like drivers right out of school because they can train you their way." but after calling a few, they wouldn't even talk to me unless I had 2 years.

but flatbed might be possible if you can find someone hiring in your area. but flatbed is probably still pretty slow right now. maybe you could move to detroit and get a job at one of the car factories?

haha only good thing about Detroit is homes are cheap down there. I'm not sure how to do the "quote thing" so sorry about that. I was talking with a driver from Atlas fuels and he told me they just hired 22 new drivers and12 were newbies I was shocked. He was cool and told me about some SE MI companies that haul fuel but most of them already filled driver jobs or wasn't hiring
