freightliner cascadia 2014 Code SPN 3556 FMI 1

That code is for a regen temp out of range on the low end.

 

What a ####en day I had today. I was delivering in Sedalia, MO. As soon as I hit US-50 west this stupid code popped up. My first guess was bad doc outlet tem sensor. it was bent before and I had striated it. Olathe freightliner was out of stock. I drove upper dealer that is on I-435. Purchased it and installed it. The old one came out after heating and putting water on it. I drove a little bit and that code came on again. I said that's it. I will burn this ####. It's paid off. then again started troubleshooting the fault. My second guess was plugged hole where HC injector seats. An last option was HC doser.
the injector's hole was plugged . I burn my hand when I was taking off the injector. cleaned and installed back the injector. Run parked regen and it went smooth. 14 hours was not enough to pick up a load, fix the truck and get to receiver which was 300 miles a way...

Hi if you still here I have a same problem what injector are you talking about?

 

If you do not know the strategy of aftertreatment systems, I would not be working on them. It was mentioned the HC doser/injector. If you have no clue where/what this is used for--take your "truck" into a certified dealer to get repaired.




Also, we do not know what year, model, powertrain your truck is as you did not list any of that pertinent details along with your vin. It would've been best to start a NEW thread listing your problem. Then reference this thread.

Hi dos this spn 3556 fail cause power loss so far i had for todays nothing bad other than the solid yellow light on the dash
I had it after replacing fuel injectors lines 6 of them
