@JonJon78 i think we are using the same shipper ? I just booked a "legal dim flatbed load" out of cali and looked at the ratecon and it said for a stepdeck. So i called my agent to see if i could still pick it up , what are the dimensions? ..... He calls back and says its 10ft high and the broker said they ship that out on a flatbed all the time ??? Wtf?? Gave us both a good laugh. Makes me wonder which type of drivers are paying for overheight permits on a flatbed when its a legal step load? I mean that would put u over 15ft high lmao

Many states won't give an over height permit for a flatbed if it can ship on a lower trailer, step.

We hauled an 10 wide dozer from Florida with Washington on a flatbed at 14’ tall. Didn’t have an issue with permits. Had a flat in Florida and needed a flat in Washington so it worked out best. 07FC1C4D-AA37-41D2-8537-50A7A020EEAB.jpeg

If you refused to take the load and its risks. You did the right thing. I understand the definition of the word potential. It is an odds of occurring. The thing is, sometimes you just have to take the sure bet and pass.

A conestoga can hide many sins.

14' tall permit, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. Rest of the trip that is legal high.

Just a warning to beware it's possible.

That’s terrible. Can you tell us where that is so we don’t make the mistake of going there.
