that would be a big negative!, but u had to for some reason you could talk to your dispatcher about it, and take it from there....

 

Anybody know if Watkins Shepard is hiring out of Michigan ?

Soon2b I'm scheduled to ### 2 orientation at Watkins and Shepard at the hickory terminal on my 21st birthday (November). I should ask sandy about this 2, but after the 10 days and I don't feel like I'm ready to go out by myself can I go out with another driver for awhile (assuming they think my skills are up to par and they offer me a job)

i dont no how to answer that question to be honest, that would be a question to ask sandy, i think if u dont feel ready u might be able to stay? i really have no clue, but a heads up tho, if the trainer does not think you are ready, they will send you home, so i guess the quesion is answerd, but im sure youll feel good about going out alone, ull be dealing with a great trainer in conover!, i no him personly and think youll be in great shape!.

Well, after making it thru 80% of the 165 pages here...I decided that instead of going to school here in CA, I would try to go the WS route, in winter even!! I want to thank all the posters here that have been so informative on the school and actually being employed by them afterwards.

I just accepted a voluntary severance package from my current job and need to do something... I've heard so much good about the school there in Montana that I can't wait to start. Just earlier this evening I submitted an online app, so I have my fingers crossed that they are still hiring. I live somewhere between 20 and 30 miles from the Santa Fe Springs terminal, so I know I meet that requirement.
