a brakesaver is not an easy install it is a factory option it adds to the length of the clutch housing which moves the tranny back and shorter driveshaft
i've never heard of one installed on a used truck

Yep you are correct all you need is OIL PUMP,oil pump tubes front or rear sump oil pan, outside oil tubes B/S control valve, cab air switch, misc wiring, misc air lines, whole lot of labor! Newer jakes are the cats meow.

Mines making 400+ hp on the brakesaver alone.
Western Star charged a extra $8k(nzd) for the brakesaver and KW a extra $15k(nzd),never have any trouble with heat in the Star but the KW you had to watch the temps. -
Yeah and as far as install it was a piece of cake on my cabover after engine swap was done. most expensive cost was drivelines but they had to be done switching from cummins to cat engines anyway

You might want to google smartbrake not exactly what you seem to be looking for but...........

Also as previously mentioned temps are an issue if you're doing that for an extended period of time... -

Cant put both on in the wet, locks up straight away even fully loaded in the wet you have to be carefully the ECM will turn the jakes off when it locks up but not the brakesaver.
When I got the truck new it was wired up from the factory so you couldn't use both together,A tech at the dealers should me how to bypass it and turn the psi up but said if I was caught it would void my warranty.
The gearbox(22918) destroyed the input shaft bearing 6 months ago at only 420k miles I put that down to to much engine braking as the KW I had before did the same thing.
