If you can afford it, buy 2 pair and switch them out each day. You wear 1 pair while the sweat in the other pair dries out. Keeps them from getting stinky too fast.

 

My company pays $250/yr for boots. They just have to be waterproof and slip-resistant. So I wear redwing irish setter wingshooters.

 

I've been wearing American made Double H lately.
Reasonably comfy right out of the box. All my chicom Ariats got dumped into the donation bin at the Salvation Army.

Redwings or Ariats for me, nothing else goes on feet (except socks) ever. I average about 3yrs out of 'em on hard floors all the time.

 

I bought these on ebay because the were 70 plus shipping and I liked the old pair that I had resoled .

Also bought a pair of 1000 gram insulated lace up for winter, pretty heavy duty units.

 

I have a pair of Double H and really like them. Having a high instep limits my ability to get a boot on my foot. The particular pair I have is one of the only boots I have found that I can get on without giving myself a hernia.

 

I have started to buy 2 or 3 pair at a time. For some reason, when I find a good pair, that fits right, when I go to replace them, they don’t make it anymore. Still have 2 new pair left from the last time I bought boots. And sure enough, they no longer make that boot.
