When I went to Cali earlier this year, talking to a lot of guys in Barstow TA, LOTS of older trucks still run out there. I won't run illegally out there(I have a glider but have got a 3 day pass) but to each his own.

What is a 3 day pass? Never heard of it. What does it cost?

You have to register your truck with the CARB website. You apply for the pass on the website. Sorry I don't remember the website.

Isn't there a max on mileage with one of those passes?

I know a company that runs gliders out there every week and never have problems. One went through DOT check at Donnor scales and they never said a word.
