Why can't you just keep it in gear?

 

As always, it'd be helpful to know what the hell the truck in question is


Loss of air doesn't mean no brakes. In a lot of cases, the air system is plumbed to start dumping air from the park circuit with each brake application if reservoir pressure is lost.

 

I am afraid not. I hade the issue a couple days ago. When it gets to that point you have 30 sec. After 30sec the truck will shut down. Mine was the power wire from the pin 16 on the 21 pin connector on the ACM to Fuse F10 on the fire wall. That will stop the ACM from communicating with the CPC and your toast until you get an overlay.

 

If it was in gear and assuming you didn't have the clutch pushed in and also assuming its not an automatic you should have still been building air pressure and still had power steering.

 

Nothing new, I've had my 2001 Cornbinder shut down on me because of low coolant. But it does have an over ride switch.
