    It is simply one drawback. It doesn't make them bad.
    I like them for most things.

    Far too many crashes, vehicles and planes alike, suffer the same mistake: don't forget to fly/drive the dang thing!

    Perhaps we agree that panic is more a cause of many fatalities than the actual problem?

    Most of the runaways you hear about. Their story is they couldn't stop.

    Now. Figure most drivers don't or won't check their brakes. And how often slacks go bad. They don't keep their brakes adjusted.

    I don't know about the rest of you all. But I like brakes and do keep them working.

    How many times have you seen trailers that won't adjust the tandems. Because the tires won't lock because the brakes are out of adjustment.

    If you're in the proper gear the jake should be doing most of the work with the service brakes being used minimally.

    had my airline disconnect one time on a drop and hook, I zip tie the gladhands everytime now
