Converting Class 1 to Ontario AZ

Hello,

While I'm waiting to hear back from Service Ontario in this regard, I was hoping to see if anyone here has experience converting a Quebec Class 1 to an Ontario AZ. I'm presently working toward my Class 1 in Quebec now, but may be moving to Ontario next summer.

On the DriveTest website, it notes the following:

"Effective July 1, 2017, applicants who wish to exchange their Class 1 licence from another Canadian jurisdiction for an Ontario Class A licence, must provide proof that they have held the Class 1 licence for at least 24 months in the last three years. Applicants with less Class 1 experience will be subject to further testing and/or mandatory entry-level training requirements for Class A licences in Ontario."

Say I have not gotten any commercial experience prior to moving, does anyone know what further testing would be required?

Thanks - I'm assuming somewhat the same. Any rough estimate how much this would cost? $1000-$1500? Not sure how expensive taking lessons and the exam is in Ontario

Actually, Service Ontario just happened to get back to me via email yesterday saying the same thing. They stated I'd pretty much need to re-do all my training.
