From what I read here, Is the freightliner place the only place you can get a dyno at locally ? I'm assuming it does not matter what type of motor ? How far advance do you need a appt ?

MM, The TV is mounted on a swivel mount I got at walmart. I had to weld up a bracket that it is attached to that is through bolted through the TV tray. I have my wireless printer on the tray and the TV swings out of the way. It is a bit of a pain with 2 people but when I am by myself, it is the cats arse for watching movies or playing video games....

As for the Ultrashift tranny, now that I have the bugs worked out of it, I dont think I would buy another truck without one. I only wish it was the 13 instead of the 10 but it performs well with my 475 Cat in front of it. The problems I had were caused by inexperience wrenches working on it. Somewhere in its life, the tranny was dropped for a seal or something, when they took the clutch out they labeled it as to what truck but didnt label the order of the clutches (you could still see the words blue pete hand written on all of the clutch hubs)... so when it was reinstalled it wore unevenly causing clutch chatter like you wouldnt believe. The second problem was when the new ECM updates were added to the engine, noone added the corresponding updates for the tranny resulting in poor communication from the engine to the tranny and I was getting rough shifts and it was a pain to back up. Now that Eaton put a new $1800 clutch in it as well as the correct programming the truck shifts and performs awesome. I was at the point with Eaton that if they didnt fix it, they were going to swap it for a straight 10 and I would have paid the diff for an 18 but the rep pleaded with me to give them one last chance and they sent me to a specific garage where all of the problems were discovered an corrected... It pays to go to a wrench who stays up with all of the tech classes on these things.... too many gadgets to keep track of and guessing your way through it leads to dissatisfaction and paying for a single repair multiple times.
