I guess you haven't heard about this thing called vacation. Or maybe he was home for 3 days between being out on the road. Or maybe he's a local driver and has the weekend off and he was bored?? The point is that even though it was a lot of work, he did it, and yes it is impressive because it works. A lot of people who took that project on would probably ended up with a parts radio when they were done. -
Myself included, and I have a degree in electronics.
Yeah, it's impressive. VERY impressive, I don't mean to detract from his accomplishment, I mean, that guy's got creativity and tenacity, my hat is off to him, definitely.Night Stalker10 Thanks this. -
Finished my little project the other day, it works well. I did a few different things, I used a simple johnson radio with channel selector, squelch, volume and a simple rf digital meter. Used a ten conductor shielded cable that is very flexible and a pair of amp connector at the radio so I can disconnect it,

I'm not a betting man but if I was I would bet that you used the model 323?? -
Nope, 4135, all digital, simple conversion.
-
Ah, okay. Now you know why I don't gamble. Lol.
-
That’s alright, I was going to use a 29 but then I thought “don’t need all those knobs” and found this one in the pile, did the conversion, tuned it up and installed it.
-
This is amazing but I don't want my radio installed.
I use my Stryker 955 all day in the dump truck, all night as a bass CB in my home and I take it on road trips in the Windstar.
I have a box built for it to sit in the floor face up, a magnet antenna with coax ran through the corner of the door (not through the window just shut the door)
And a cigarette 12V power supply.Timin770 Thanks this.
