All of the above with the exception of backup camera and parking sensors are available. You can install your own backup cameras with any number of after market kits.

They do but mainly the newer models the 2018s and newer.

None of those are safety features, they are are mitigants for poor driving habits.
New tractor can have the ADC, LDS, AND CMS (collision mitigation system). My perspective is most work poorly/unsafely in fact they were a factor in me leaving the last job. CMS would slam on the brakes for the shadow of an overpass. I feel that is unsafe in winter. LDS picked up all old lanes and phantom lanes in the road so would scream at you for no good reason. It was primarily a penalty system for the driver. Fortunately it did not have control over the steering wheel. I question how "ready for the market" the stuff in the cars is.
Parking sensors and backup cameras would be a challenge to implement effectively and difficult to justify the cost. Trucking is a business, companies don't spend money unless there is a payback. The previous 3 systems (ADC, LDS, CMS) are implemented to save on insurance costs. It is nothing to do with driver safety.okiedokie, Cattleman84, God prefers Diesels and 4 others Thank this. -
I disabled them in my car except adaptive cruise control. They are not practical.Short Fuse EOD Thanks this.

You’re better off with using g.o.a.l. As a backup camera.. these things are too big you’d have attach 3 or 4 to get a full picture and even then it’d require mental gymnastics to adjust your trailer based on what you see on a screen.austinmike, Caterpillar Cowboy, Short Fuse EOD and 1 other person Thank this.

Lane departure is a pain in the Ash in the 2020 Freightliners. Constantly giving off false warnings.
Adaptive cruise control in fun. The speed will display in some showing how fast the vehicle in front of you is going.hopeful eyes Thanks this. -

Yea I always want to throw trucks with these safety features in the trash. Now I know you’re not supposed to have the cruise on in adverse conditions but one time I was in Wis and I had just recieved my 2019 P4 with Schneider coming from a 2015 freight and it was a light snow wasn’t even sticking to the ground but still 38 degrees outside I’m driving down a stretch of highway alone and the sheer amount of anxiety that was cause by a simple beep beep beep and a caution immediate impact on the dash despite nothing being on the highway was nerve wracking
alds and hopeful eyes Thank this.
