I live in MA and regularly run to York pa area.

put the buckets on the stacks yesterday and grabbed a case of beer on the way home, I dont mind driving in snow, and I hate trusting weather man, but I’m not driving in a supposed to be blizzard.

That's why I didn't go. I had a line on a decent one. I probably could've booked it for double the usual rate by this evening but as a one truck operator it just isn't worth it. People can't drive up and down 81 safely in good weather and the darkest part of the storm (as in on the radar maps) is right up the i81 corridor, or it was this morning.

I may try to mop up some dollars getting something out of the South on Friday for delivery early next week.

Coffey, 77fib77 and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

It's not real common in VA, PA, NJ and NY honestly. Nowadays as D. Tibbitt said above PA will close the roads when there is even a threat. Big fines if you are caught on the roads in a rig during a shutdown. Not worth it.

You guys shouldve seen what they did on i40 in new mexico last week for 1 inch of snow. Backed up 100 something miles. People jacknifed everywhere , in the ditch...a shame what passes as a truck drive

You never know, sometimes you get lucky, it snowed 2 feet in Ct. The trucstop let me park on the fuel island. The next day they plowed , got unloaded, got a load back to Texas.

    Coffey and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Everybody had a HUGE year. Why would anyone in their right mind go up there unless they live there right before Christmas?

I don’t think many are. Which is why outbound was spiking late today.
