I visited my family up there in Newburgh. Snowed 22 inches that night. Being from Tennesse I had never seen anything like that. The next day the roads were opened like no big deal. My family was calling around to get in line to borrow the snowblower to clear the driveways. One time I asked them why the fireplugs had 2 foot sticks on top of them and they laughed. They said when it snows here it's serious, and that is how the firemen find the plug.

Little late to the party here but looking at outbound rates around TN going up into the northeast it looks like business as usual the past 2 days. Volumes are down and the posted rates to that area just look like just the normal going rates. Nothing exceptional and certainly not worth heading into the storm when the rates going elsewhere are about the same. Of course regardless of wishful thinking "posted rate" on a broker's part you never know what any load will pay until you talk to them to see if it really needs to go or not.

We ended up doing that Lol. Just getting the driveway cleared now at 4pm, let alone make it the 5 miles down to the yard. We live a mile up a dirt road about 10 houses on the road. The plow hasn't came up since 5-6 this morning. A good 8-10 inches still on the road.

My 78 year old neighbor lady who lives alone and has cancer got too antsy waiting for me to come help her out. She burried her 2500 trying to plow her 1/3 mile driveway. The tractor wouldn't pull her out of the ditch with chains on even. I give her credit tho she's one tough lady
