What if it Snows?

yeah......not for long. Maybe I should jump over to the dark side.
This side has grown cold, cold, cold.
Frankly, I'm done with The Big Orange. They have their priorities (understandably, shareholder value and whatnot) and I have mine. Only problem is that their values conflict with mine.....(not in a ethical sense, but a monetary sense). Right now what's available to me are places like I described a couple of pages ago. They've winnowed out all the ***holes from their company trucks and and have made them available to their contractors where the only information we have before we pick the load is city / state / weight / rate.

Every f'n day of December has been a rape......EVERY DAY without exception. On at least one side of the load, sometimes both, is the exact same scenario as I said before. Either it's pig trails, toll roads, or difficult customers......why in the world should it take an hour to get in and out of a Lowes DC???? But it dang sure does in Statesville NC. And Schneider knows it and that's why they've made the load available to you. Congratulations!!

So, I'm kinda at my limit right now. I'm not going to bail just whilly nilly, gonna take some time and figure out what my options are. I'm thinking about selling my truck, but I've never been a good employee and something happens after your 60th birthday that makes you extra cranky and less sociably acceptable, (frankly, I think in my case, it's just an excuse to be the natural born ***hole that I've always been).

But, Landstar might be an option. Naturally, @Dave_in_AZ , you'd be a real handy resource.
So, anyway, that's my Holiday Rant.

a pack of Ritz crackers. That said, they were much more awesome than regular Ritz crackers.

 

I worked in the Ritz and oreo factory on the south side for a month in the summer. Fresh Ritz crackers are crazy good. Of course oreos are too. But Ritz it's like 5 times better than the store. They were planning to send the plant to Mexico. I don't know of they did or they were messing with the union.
