HOPEFUL EYES I've gained mobility in my neck but for a long time it was stiff and hard to move side to side.
During my drive test I did fine but almost failed due to not checking my mirrors in the examiner's opinion. Of course I checked them but I moved my eyes and body more than my neck. When it's time for your drive test make sure they can tell you're doing things correctly. It may sound silly but small points add up quick.

How was your neck injured? How much have you recovered so far?Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Got in an argument.
I wanted to stop.
My motorcycle didn't.
So we abruptly parted ways.
And haven't spoken since.
Twenty years and add a few times being rear ended and neck always hurts but oddly for the most part ya just get used to it. Apparently there is something about the Irish genes that doesn't respond to pain medications. Unless it's bad I don't bother with them and then they only take the edge off. Talk about the luck of the Irish.tommymonza, Lumper Humper and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

I got rear - ended at 60 while stopped in traffic on Rt 80 Westbound.
Whole line of traffic stopped, lady behind me didn't.
Every day when I wake up, I sit on side of bed,
and turn my chin slowly to touch one shoulder, then the other,
while tilting my head the same way. Takes 10 -15 reps. for 5 min.
Hold at end, and stretch your neck each time.
I find starting out limbered up this way helps me
cope with the whiplash damage. Try it; Hope this helps you.tarmadilo, tommymonza, Lumper Humper and 2 others Thank this. -
That whiplash is a bad injury. When we were rear ended, the front bolts holding the bench seat on my 67 Plymouth broke through the floorboard, my knees hitting the steering wheel stopped us from going completely back. My wife’s head flew back, then forward, her chin left a bruise on her chest. It didn’t get really painful till the next day. She was in tears. At least 2 or 3 different Chiropractors and 5 yrs of chiropractic adjustments later, she finally got some decent relief. A little at a time. He was an honest Chiropractor, told her he’d done all he could. 34 yrs later, it still bothers her at least once a week. The damage it does is from stretching the spinal cord. Doesn’t really show up on X Rays or MRIs. By comparison, I have evidence of a broken neck vertebrae. You can see where it was cracked and healed. I had rolled a vehicle and had a sore neck, for a couple weeks, but never knew it was broken, till years later. It healed up on its own.
tommymonza, Lumper Humper, God prefers Diesels and 1 other person Thank this. -
Just this year a driver had a horrible wreck and the first thing he told the police is, "I couldn't help it, I'm taking anti-depressant medication." I don't remember the trucking company he works for, but they'll probably have to lock the doors and go bankrupt.tommymonza and God prefers Diesels Thank this.
