Why not get a loan from your bank then?

I doubt anyone would be willing to let someone do payments for their truck. I know I wouldn't. Way, WAY too much risk to the person selling it. I can see the seller getting burnt pretty badly.

Truck gets wrecked? "Sorry too bad, insurance only paid out half of what I owe you."

Major mechanical failure? "So yeah your truck's at X shop 1500 miles away and I can't afford $30k for the engine. See ya!"

Purchaser stops making payments and the seller actually manages to track the truck down. Then discovers its been driven into the dirt and is pretty much scrap iron.

Ask me to finance you, and when I get thru laughing I would for 99% down.
Why would anyone finance a stranger, I wouldn’t even do it for a family member.
Arrange 3rd party financing then give him a low ball cash offer.

If you have that good of credit a bank will finance you no problem. Any O/O in his right mind will run from the idea of owner finance. Way to many ways it could go wrong and no advantage whatsoever for the guy selling.

There are plenty of trucks. Just keep saving up man or get your credit right. Someone said you can get financed on a rig at a 640 credit score. Probably need a big down payment for that but it sounds like you have saved well so far. Good luck!

I really really hate to tell you these to things. But 1) lone mountain is 3-5k down. And 750 to 950 a month payments but no interest. But also no warranty unless the tranny or engine blow.
    2) I put my self on a ten year savings plan to buy a truck 5 years ago. Its not working out so well either.
The good news is whatever you decied, I have learnt the average break down is about 1400. So I would keep atleast that much aside when you do you down payment.
