I've got a 2013 W900 2250 and the throttle can be really touchy. It's especially noticable when bobtailing and will try to jackrabbit all the time.
Even when loaded it'll try spin the tires coming off a highway onto gravel if you're not super careful.
Just wondering if there's a setting to adjust the sensitivity somewhere in Cummins InSite?
    Thanks

Yes. It's likely set on Automotive which is super touchy. Change it over to Variable.

I always change them on the dealer trucks we build due to driving through fields and farm land can be rough. Even worse when the throttle is super sensitive.

I believe its under Accelerator Options or Governor Options, but don't quote me on it. I'd have to hook up to truck and go through the listings.

Yeah I'm running through a lot of rough terrain in the oilfield and so the touchy throttle is a pain.
Where would I check on InSite for the variable setting? I did turn down the loaded weight governor and speed governor. Thought that might help but also wanted to set the gov at 70mph. It was at 120

It was under governor type. Had to hook to a Cummins this morning and change through all the settings. 20201222_085151.jpg

Great thanks! I didn't have a chance to get to the shop yesterday. What do you have your load based speed control set at? Im wondering if I should change mine back.

I'll have to check what it's at when I get the batteries reconnected. This one is a 5th wheel tractor that hauls grain hopper trailers. I usually don't change those unless i get a driver complaint.

My roadspeed gov was set at 120mph and it wouldn't let me go to 70 unless I changed load based speed control as well. I haul triaxle trailers at about 100k lbs loaded. Mostly infield and gravel roads. But occasionally, we haul Super B trailers (mostly highway) loaded to about 140k gross. I guess I'll know when I go back to work if something's not right.
I have all set to 70mph right now.

I also want to get my tune checked out so I'm shopping for a version of CalTerm so I can pull it and get a guy to check it over. Just to make sure something wasn't done when it was tuned..as well as check a few other things.
Not sure what version of CT to get...or if it matters.
