Just wondering what type of fluid to put in clutch reservoir. I have a 2016 T880, I’ve had a few different suggestions, and can’t find anything online or anywhere so just want to see what is correct fluid.
    Thanks

Some were factory filled with DOT 4. There were supposed issues with fluid crystallization. There was a bullentin to flush the system and change to DOT 3. As far as I know the only difference is higher boiling point. Fluid will never get that hot on a clutch application anyhow. Nowhere near as hot as a brake caliper.

Thanks, I’m not sure what is in mine, whatever it is they filled at the factory I guess, I’ve only 96k miles on mine. So regardless of which fluid it is, DOT3/DOT4, if I just top off with one of these, it will be safe?

DOT 4 is harder to find and more expensive.

Just stick with your everyday sealed pint of DOT 3 available at any corner auto parts store and youll be fine.
