Chicago Teamsters Reject YRC Cuts

No one ever accused these folks of being very bright. A lower paying job is better than no job.

Look for layoffs here soon.

 

Personally, I expect that out of a union. Make all the cuts you want, unless its a cut to my overpaid butt. Cant let that happen.. So they have been laying them off left and right. And they are desperately scrambling for a new job. To bad UPS isnt hiring, or CT, or, well, pretty much anyone. Enjoy the unemployment line is all I got to say.

 

why didnt they reject them here in michigan? i can see both sides of the coin though ###### if you do ###### if you dont-right?

 

Not really. Unions are voting themselves right out of a job..

Here in St Louis, the Winchester Amunitions plant is going to close early next year because the union employees were not happy about a 1 dollar an hour raise. let along the fact they were already being paid 27 bucks an hour, and its a completely electromechanically controlled job. No knoledge needed.

Now that plant is closing... Moving to a non-union, freshly built plant, down in a area where they are getting cut backs from the government for bringing industry back to a hurricane stricken area. The new employees are being paid 14 an hour.
