I was woke up several times by the qualcomm.
Middle of the night, they would send a message.
Remember, the load must be delivered on time.
Another time, the message came in, are you asleep?
Then the phone would ring.

What Mike posted about question 31 comes from the interpretations. Use www.fmcsa.dot.gov Go to Rules and Regulations. Click on whatever part you want, for example 395-Hours of service. When you go to whatever section, in the upper right hand corner will have intrepretations in blue. Click it and get questions and the guidence associated with it. Will answer alot of questions you may have.

This old retired federal DOT official wonders how anyone can safely drive down any highway while videotaping? That's no different that using a cell phone. You're not concentrating on the specific issue at hand. It tends to make one an unsafe driver and no different than reading a newspaper, magazine, some other document, or fixing one's hair in the rear-view mirror while drinking coffee and steering with one's knees which we've all seen driving down highways looking down at 4-wheelers
Gee, old Fed dude, how is it possible? You must be before the age of DASH MOUNTED CAMERAS. Perhaps you should try a little different tone when doing the "know-it-all" attitude. -
From the time they (the company) says off duty time until I am back under a preplan, I am not answering no messages from any QC, (esp not every hour on the #### hour- they can have their keys back if its the case) I will take phone calls up to a resonable time. as I've learned from my mistakes in other parts of this site OFF DUTY means just that OFF DUTY. truck parked and secured, not even getting back into it, unless my down time is at a truck stop then you have no choice sometimes to start the truck but under no obligations am I answering the QC,......
