Hello, I recently leased two trucks on with a company and I am having some issues and need some guidance.

The company ACHs drivers pay and takes both salary and any shop service or repairs out of what each truck earns per week. No problems there.

The issue is the business is deducting the cost of repairs that were never performed which is making me negative and I can't pay the salary of one of my drivers. The owner is saying the parts were ordered and is refusing to remove the charge. (parts were ordered but the work wasn't performed and none of the ordered parts are on my truck)

I have to leave this shady company but I have this issue to deal with in the meantime. It doesn't appear that I can do much here. What are my options, if any?

First thing you have to make it right with your driver.( He worked for his pay). Is there any documentation for asking work to be done. If the parts were not installed on your truck. & the owner is saying they were that should be is to prove by examining said parts. Who is the mechanic who installed them & when were they exactly installed. You're right time to move on.

Did you schedule work to be preformed on your truck and then cancel? If the parts were ordered for you by the carrier to fix your truck, then yeah, you need to pay for them. Then store them until you need them.
    Parts are not free.

They were doing you a favor by carrying your repairs in the first place

As for your driver, he works for you and not the company that your contracted to. The driver did his part and worked as required, now do your part and pay him/her! Sell your car, a motorcycle ( sell the effing truck if you have to) anything that will get that man and his family their money!

Take care of the driver is your #1 priority. No idea on what the $ amount of the part(s) in question and it really doesn’t matter. Don’t make your issue the drivers issue, you need that driver and it is the right thing to do.

    TripleSix and bzinger Thank this.

Are you an absentee owner? Like the company you leased to does all the work and you just get the leftover money after all the expenses?

I’m not trying to sound like a dick but how do you not have enough working capital to pay for parts? I alone can probably rebuild half the truck with parts I have In stock, let alone all the stuff my uncle has collected over the years. Good way to loose a couple grand at the end of the year to have stuff in stock so you can get fixed and back to work quicker. What do you have ordered?

driver worked, driver needs to get paid

Only #### of a business man would not want to pay their people for the work they done.
I'd first go hungry and sell my house before not to pay my men.
Now, with that in mind, I have never hired anyone nor will I want to.

@amrogers3 Next time you see your truck maybe your pizzed off driver driving it through your home.
Speaking for myself, I get bent out of shape, bad, when I don't get paid. Just a thought.
