So I'm local but I'd like to know a list of state that 1- allow parking on off ramps. 2- allow tandems to be slid all the way back ( yes I know this is in rand McNally but if you have quick link thanks)

Just messing with you OP Florida doesn't allow you to run your tandems all the way back with out a fine. Do your homework..

MI no longer has a tandem restriction.

If you need to park on on/off ramps you are doing something wrong.

If the tandems need to be all that way back, the shipper is doing something wrong.

If you are a local driver, why does either question come up?

Tx lets you run the tandems all the way back. When I was running intrastate in Tx when I first started driving we ran 'em all the way back most of the time. Truck rode a lot better stretched out like that.

Alabama lets you run them all the way to the rear.

What was crazy was in the late 1990’s when Lane ran a fleet of high cube 57’ footers and you’d see them stretched all the way back.

Whether it's allowed or not, why would anybody want to park on an off-ramp? That sounds like a really good way to get sideswiped or rear-ended.
