    IMHO
    I suggest that you check out the Truck Driver Training Programs at your local Community/Technical Colleges.
    Free funds and grants are available, if you qualify (unemployed, under employed, dislocated worker...), through the Employment Security Commission (ESC).

    If you would like, when you pick a school, please start a thread under, "Trucking Schools", so that you can post your experiences in training for all of us to see.
