Walmarts vary from store to store. My wife's is trucker friendly. Others are not. Sadly enough the reason some are not truck friendly is because of the careless, slob drivers that have no respect for themselves or others. When I park at the pilot in corbin I walk down the one way road to the walmart. Just look at the trash. Trucks park on the left and right side of the road for a few spaces where there is room. Past that there is no room to park, but the trash is all the way down to the end. If they are not throwing out trash when they park, they are doing while driving out of there.
There is so much trash in that short road it would probably fill a empty 53 foot van. Uncalled for....![]()

Those loud parking lot vacuum trucks are always there at 2am buzzing around the parking lot. I wonder why they aren't doing a complete job picking up the trash? I mean, Walmart pays them to clean the parking lot, doncha think they should do their job?
-
No, I don't think the trash should be there to begin with. People want to complain about no parking and high prices. Clean as you go. If you don't throw out trash they would not have to pay someone to clean up after you to begin with.
lonewolf4ad and KingOfHibernia Thank this. -
Then walmart should put out some trash barrels if they see trash there all the time.
People are just gonna throw stuff on the ground if there is no place to deposit trash, and that goes for 4 wheelers too, people dump their trash onto the pavement because companies are too lazy and cheap to put out trash cans anymore. -

My wife and I stay in lots of walmarts all over the place and have never had any problem at all. Some Walmarts have built their lots in a way that says,"no trucks". Stay out of those ones signs or not. Other Walmarts are part of a large mall and the Mall owns the lot. Those ones are iffy. There is a Walmart near my son's place in Vancouver BC where we have parked truck and trailer for 3 days while visiting my son and his family. No problems at all. That lot however is 90% empty all the time. A few weeks ago we were in a Walmart lot in Michigan. I was just amazed how many trucks were there. Being the wierd person that I am I went around and counted them all. There were 50. I thought this was quite a thing so I looked up the manager of the store and asked him about it. He told me that truckers were among his best customers and accounted for many thousands in sales every day. The lot had the room for the trucks so when you think about it these sales are just pure gravey for the store. Smart manager I'd say

Cant blame walmart for not wanting pee bottles and poop bags throwed out in their lots anymore. Some not all truckers ruin it for everyone!

FYI, Wal-Mrt in Kingman, Az. is truck friendly and is a Super Center, but you must enter from Airway Av. (Which is past entrance on Stockton Hill Rd.)

it really depends on the Wal-Mart, I spent the night at the Wal-mart in Laramie, Wyo. back in '00 after 80 was closed due to a blizzard. I was the first truck in their lot after the closure. As I walked in the night manager and the greeter were standing there, I advised them that it was gonna be a long night as 80 and 287 were both closed. He then got on the PA and informed everyone in the store. I was in and out of that store 4 times that night, spent the night in the truck in the truck parking area of the lot. The next morning, there were 50 trucks parked in the lot, they were using loaders and graders to clear the lot. They would clear and area, have all the trucks move to it then clear that area.
The Wal-Mart in Commerce City, Co is a different story, they used to allow trucks, then they banned them, now they have dedicated parking spots for trucks, so long as it's not abused they will permit it, but if you abuse it they will ban it. Also, the idling policy is also store dependent, the "green" store in Aurora on Tower Rd. has a no idle policy anywhere on the lot, including RV's, the one in Commerce City does not.Texas-Nana Thanks this.
