What if it Snows?

Pretend it's a trans from a junk yard. The splitter high to high is bad. Low to high not so much. The synchro is in the back box?

The previous trans 9th and 10th were not wanting to go in or come out. Long story short, you need another transmission, according to mechanics. This one shifted better. But vibrates badly at like 1800 rpm, for a little but, then it stopped doing my that. The high to low is bad thou. It could be the bearing in the clutch? Idk. The mechanics I took it too sucked, so....... They went thru the top plate. This one shifts fine.

 

I couldnt find the vid that I saw. I think it was from Eaton. It showed splines that the gears of a transmission ride on. The headache was when drivers floated gears. The splines all were getting a slight twist from the lack of clutch use. As the twist compounded, the gears could no longer slide on the splined shaft. The splines were no longer straight between the gears. It was very visible as the mechanic said where he was trying to slip the gear along the spline.

Just remember. The mechanic is only doing what the owner is willing to pay. If you arent willing to pay for an over haul. That mechanic cant do anything more than remove the top plate and look in and make a recomendation. Tho the mechanics probably have the same impression about you as well.

Maybe you can get some tranquilizers to put in her food then inject. I still think you will end up giving yourself and injection before is all said and done.
