    So if you like to listen and mostly talk on SSB
    How do you monitor channel 19 AM for traffic , or speed reports , you could listen in with a handheld radio or scanner

    Personally, I use the Stryker 955 for when I am traveling on the road and use my Motorola APX 6000XE and Harris P7300 portable for Federal, Police/EMS/Fire and etc. A week ago I was at a truck stop I saw a very beautiful custom Peterbuilt 389 the driver she was running a Stryker 655, Kenwood work radio (not sure model number), Uniden SDS200 scanner. These radios and scanner gets the job done when shes local or on the road traveling.

    I'm still working my trusty old Stryker 490HP just can't seem to part with it.... Been thinking hard about putting my FTM-400XDR in the truck, but are afraid some dirtbag might steal it.
