I've been contemplating a career change for a while, as I've spent quite a few years working in the oilfields. I'd like to find something that offers some home time, so, I'd rather not pursue an OTR driving position. A day or two out per week, I would consider, but, I do not want to be out weeks at a time as I'm doing that now and just hate it anymore. Anyone have any recommendations of good companies in Southwest Missouri?

Which town are you in or near?
Probably get some job leads if your within the driving/commute distance some food service companies require. -
My closest large town would be Springfield Missouri. I'm about 15 minutes away from there.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
I'm just starting my search and I'm kind of blind to it all. Not trying to be vague. Just putting the feelers out. I haven't found a whole lot on indeed, so, thats why I came here for a little more insight.

Class A, with X endorsement for a little over 3 years. Class B for 11 years before that. Very little OTR experience so to speak. But, no points/violations/tickets/accidents/positive drug tests. Clean MVR history. Have been studying for the doubles/triples endorsement and plan on taking that in 5 or 6 weeks, next time I venture home. Figured that might help with the LTL positions.

Put Walmart on your list. Maybe cut some slack and hire you. Drivers post they make $90K - $100K

Does Walmart do a lot of day runs? I would have figured they were primarily OTR. I will look into it though.
The money definitely sounds appealing, but, the main goal in my search is showering in my own shower, getting food out of my own refrigerator and sleeping in my own bed as much as possible.
Naturally, I'd like the most amount of money for the least amount of work. Hahaha!!! But, on the flip side of the coin I semi-limited my search to LTL and food service delivery thinking that would be the path for more hometime. But, I am starting my search blind and will keep an open mind as well.
