I am hoping for the best. Just under 3 weeks until I start my training in OH.
-
Millis is a GREAT company.

A friend of mine from high school has been with Millis for just about a year now. He has worked for 3 or 4 companies over the years and says that he is hard pressed to find a complaint about Millis. He has only had one or two small issues with them and when he brought it to there attention, they corrected it. I love to hear things like that about a company I am starting with.
I will be sure to keep my eyes out for you Hanadarko if I make it up to WI. We might have to get a cup of coffee and talk about how great our company is. -
How does anyone get Millis to answer their e-maails or phone calls? They don't respond to applications either. Are they hiring in NC?
-
Do they hire recent grads? how far out of school? will they hire anyone with local exp?
-
only hire if you have one year experience or you have to go thru there school and they will answer your emails but when i was in black river the other day swapping trucks they said they had been getting tons of applications and it was taking a little while to go thru all of them. also they said they were still hiring a few drivers out of north carolina then but things change so just have to check to make sure.
mceheel Thanks this. -
Hey Spanky,
Do you drive for them? would 8mths local exp mean anything to them? -
-
They are getting around 300 applications a day. Best to apply online and then try and follow up with a phone call 24hrs later to make sure they got your application.
Millis is very pickey. If there is anything on your app that is bad or missing or incomplete, forget it. No matter who you apply at, you need a totally filled out application (honestly, since they WILL find out) and then a follow up call to driver recruiting.
1yr OTR or you must attend THEIR MTI Schooling, currently held in OH. (Presuming they are doing school...??)
By the way, I do NOT work for them but my application was accepted. I am awaiting a training class in Richfield WI - but there are no 2010 dates set at this point. With current work obligations this works out for me.
I applied on line.
Called 24hrs later left vmail.
Called 24hrs later and left 2nd vmail.
No response.
Sent 1 or 2 emails to my recruiter.
No response.
Eventually I got through. Some people simply applied and 2 weeks later
heard back..so I guess you never know.
..so ya, it can be a challenge. Maybe they want to see how aggressive you are and/or maybe they are totally swamped with having to parse through all of those applications since it seems anyone and everyone is applying at these companies. You need to be persistant but not a idiot.
Somewhere right in the middle I suppose.
If you want something bad enough, go after it!
