White Volvo crowd

I stopped worrying about FedEx drivers a year ago. They don't have anything on these Amazon clowns. To the point if I see a baby blue trailer with a ##### painted on it trying to pass me, I hit the shoulder.

 

I feel attacked

He’s smelling his nuts. Helps him stay alert.

 

If I tried that in my truck, it would instantly flip over into the ditch. Full time job just keeping it between the lines.

 

It's not the white Volvo's fault, but they are the preferred truck of the English is a second language crowd. Most of my driving is on the I-5 corridor in CA OR and WA where half the trucks on the road are Amazon and/or Canadian drivers with little respect for the rules of the road. Many lack experience and most lack professionalism.

 

And there's a good reason for that. Volvo equipment is all over the world, very heavily in Europe, and has been forever. Pete/FL and American makes are not. It's no surprise they go with what they know.

More and more American trucking companies are buying Volvos though.

I'm not excusing our inexperienced idiot drivers. Personally in the East and Southeast I see a lot more duct taped FL Cascadias and Columbias with crooked mail box letters, half a bumper and a driver to match.
