It's actually based of engine model year. If that's a glider with an old engine it qualifies for the exemption.Rideandrepair, stuckinthemud, lovesthedrive and 3 others Thank this.

Looking to buy my first tractor and trailer layer this year, not lease. I still need to do research on the value of running a glider kit, but honestly running e-logs hasn't changed much for me.

Are you being punished? Forced to say you like it? Do we need to stage a rescue? I suspect your making this post under duress. Nobody admits to such a thing publicly.

wtf...I ain't seen a 20 person MC raid since...classic wow. I've yet to return tho since this last expansion. Life laughs and throws me curve balls whenever I think I got free time.
Truth. Great friends while you got them, but like all good friends, it's tough to lose them.
We have 3 dogs, the youngest of the 3 came to us via CL...very similar to @Cattleman84 and FB. Wife saw the ad, inquired and we went and got him that night. 2 hours an some change away from us. Best $100 bucks I ever spent, cause he's awesome.
All of ours either came from someone who had a litter, or the SPCA. I get sad whenever I go into a pet store and see the dogs in the glass cases.
All of mine seem to choose us. Same with the cats.
Pic below is Waylon. He's also known as my shadow.

The trade off for running an older engine is not having to pay to maintain/repair the emissions.
Glider = you can get a new truck with factory remanufactured pre-emmissions parts. Potentially better reliability and less costly repairs.
Which means you are not on the financial hook to replace the DPF/SCR every couple of years at a couple of grand or more. Also fewer finicky automotive grade/R&D components are used in the build.
Added bonus is you do not have to run E-Logs.
Added disadvantage is if you chose to lease onto a company many may not take the truck cause you cannot run e-logs. And No Cali bottled water and dog food loads. May even have a challenge getting to those Central Point high dollar short haul loads.Speed_Drums, JolliRoger, stuckinthemud and 6 others Thank this. -
Well it's not like that prime truck lolstuckinthemud, Rideandrepair, lovesthedrive and 3 others Thank this.

I'm looking to stick with more central loads, potentially a dedicated set of runs into and back out of Tampa to Phoenix.stuckinthemud, Rideandrepair, lovesthedrive and 2 others Thank this.
